Dana Hargraves is a National Certified Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to empowering individuals through their journey toward mental and emotional well-being. With a background in business administration, motherhood, and children’s ministries, Dana’s career has always been about serving others. She has also been a lifelong advocate for mental health, seeking to break the stigma within her communities. Transforming her passion for helping others to purpose, Dana believes everyone deserves a chance to feel seen, heard, and validated. “One of the most beautiful opportunities as a therapist is having a front-row seat at the client’s healing process. Dana firmly believes in providing a nonjudgmental, accepting, and secure environment tailored to each person’s unique needs. She understands the profound impact past experiences, traumas, and family dynamics can have on one’s self-perception and worldview. Whether dealing with the pressures of school, work, or personal life, Dana is committed to assisting individuals in navigating the complexities of life’s challenges.
She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults at various levels of care including residential, community, and private practice settings. Dana has experience with addiction and recovery, trauma, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, anger management, and ADHD. Dana utilizes a person-centered and holistic counseling approach while integrating various evidence-based treatments from ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy), harm reduction, and trauma-informed theories. She strives to provide therapy tailored to everyone’s unique experience. Dana believes people can grow from mutually empowering relationships, beginning with the therapeutic relationship. Her approach is warm, yet direct, and she values humor as an important tool for hope and healing.
