Megan Reedy-McGovern has been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (IL) since 2006. Megan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Marquette University, and after working in the field for a few years, went on to complete her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Roosevelt University in 2003. Megan worked in the social service / non-profit sector for over 15 years, spending most of that working directly with people who were homeless with mental health struggles and/or addictions. Megan spent 2 years working as a call center counselor with an Employee Assistance Program, as well as 2 years volunteering with Communities in Schools and Chicago Public Schools to provide counseling services to grade-school students needing additional support after experiencing traumatic events. Megan provided therapy in private practice with adult individuals for 7 years before joining the team at Life Solutions.


Anxiety, depression, trauma, addictions, and life transitions are some of the areas that Megan specializes in when working with clients. She enjoys working with and has extensive experience working with clients across many cultural backgrounds and strives to understand and address issues concerning race, religion, sexuality, socioeconomic status, and gender in a client’s life experience Megan has pursued additional training in areas such as Crisis Intervention, Suicide Prevention, Trauma, Anxiety, and Addictions and is currently focused on learning more about Somatic Approaches and Neuropsychotherapy, and is especially interested in how nutrition, exercise, sleep, and stress impact our mental health.
