Why is it so many people become complacent in their relationships? When we first meet that special someone we would move mountains to spend time with them. I’m not a big fan of the idea “falling in love”. It sounds like an accident, like it wasn’t intentional. Love doesn’t just happen. We do things that are loving, that show the other person love. We are thoughtful and intentional. We are kind, considerate, appreciative. These are actions we take that cause us to BECOME IN LOVE. Then we become complacent. Dr. John Gottman says love is not a destination but a journey. You are on a journey through life together and if you want to enjoy the ride it takes action.
Love Is A Verb
